There's a moment when you realise that capability alone isn't enough.

You can be running a business, raising children, managing everything, and still feel like something is missing. Like you're doing it all, but not quite living it.

I know that feeling. I've lived it.

I spent over 21 years as a solo business owner, single parent and international corporate trainer. I built a business from the ground up, developed apprentices, won awards and achieved Investors in People recognition. I worked with high level professionals from some of the world's largest organisations — executives, academics and even politicians.

And I did most of it alone.

When my partner was diagnosed with cancer I kept my business going. He passed away five years later. I carried my business on alone and only closed it during the pandemic after 21 years of trading.

When the pandemic came I reinvented myself. When I felt I had more to give I went back to university at 52 and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business at 55.

What I discovered, both in my own life and sitting with hundreds of clients, is that the thing holding most people back isn't skill or knowledge. It's clarity. Confidence. And having someone in your corner who truly understands.

That's why I became a life and business coach and mentor.

I work with professionals, executives and business owners who are ready to stop playing small, and with women navigating life solo who deserve a space where they don't have to explain themselves or hold it all together alone.

I'm also the founder of The Solo Woman - a growing community for women navigating life solo, in business and beyond.
